About Kahr CW9
Although the Kahr Arms does not belong among the largest firearm manufacturers on the international market, however it is a quite successful company, with plenty of satisfied customers. Most of the Kahr pistols lovers are from the US. This American small arms manufacturing company was founded by a Korean businessman Kook Jin "Justin" Moon, who is currently a CEO of the Kahr Arms.
The Kahr CW9 is a semi-automatic, striker-fired pistol. No matter that trigger is designated as the DAO, what means double-action, only by the manufacturer, its operation is anyway quite similar to models of some other manufacturers. Truly double-action only triggers are designed to completely cock and fire a pistol, allowing a re-fire operation on a miss-fired round without racking the slide. Exactly like the other models mentioned before, the Kahr CW 9mm triggers have slide-assisted cocking action that removes much of its weight and length of the trigger pull. The result of the trigger design is that trigger is not able to cock the striker on its own, however is functionally more like a single-action trigger. Its cartridge was introduced along with the Luger semi-automatic pistol. Both were first adopted in 1904 and then also by the German Army in 1908. Its cartridge has since become the military cartridge of nearly each non-Communist power. Actually, it has become the most popular and widely-used handgun cartridge. Way of the performance of the 9mm cartridge has a bit more power than the .38 Special, however falls well short of the .357 Magnum cartridge. Its grip has excellent rag checkering. It’s not even too rough on the hands, however it does not slip around at all. As mentioned before, it’s long enough to fit while keeping the pistol small overall. It’s quite thin at only 0.90 inches wide. When grip this model there are only 2 points of contact between the grip and your hand. The front strap and also back strap.
What makes a great Open Carry Kahr CW9 Holster?
A well made, custom Kahr CW9 Open Carry holster will hold your firearm even if it doesn’t come with a safety strap. The glove-like fit and high natural retention are a result of your new Kahr CW9 holster being molded on the exact replica of your pistol. Thanks to the way your new holster is made, your handgun will not fall out of the holster even if you decide to carry your rig upside down (although we advise you not to carry this way). However, if you want to get as much retention as possible, feel free to choose from our selection of Kahr CW9 Open Carry holsters equipped with a thumb-break strap.
On the other hand, a perfect fit isn’t the only thing a great holster should deliver. A great Kahr CW9 Open Carry holster should also come with smooth edges and meticulous stitching. Such features help to protect the holster from abrasion, scratches, wear as well as prevent it from taking any damage should it come in contact with rough surfaces. A great Kahr CW9 Open Carry holster also comes with a perfect finish, which keeps it protected from dust and moisture. However, in order to ensure longevity and perfect condition of even the best holster, you should regularly take care of your Kahr CW9 Open Carry holster through proper holster maintenance.
