The Heritage Rough Rider - 6.5’’ is a single-action-only, revolving chamber pistol designed and produced by Heritage Manufacturing, Inc. The 6.5 inches barrel version of this popular SAO revolver was first introduced back in 1993. The Heritage Rough Rider is a replica of the most popular single action revolver ever made - the Colt Single Action Army.

This Heritage revolver features an aluminum alloy frame with blued steel barrel and cylinder. The Heritage 6-shot Rough Rider revolver most frequently comes with cocobolo grips, which makes the pistol look very neat, especially when paired up with a tanned Heritage Rough Rider western holster.

Just like most Old West revolvers, the Heritage Rough Rider features a 6-shot cylinder. The Heritage Rough Rider with a 6.5 inches long barrel comes chambered for the .22 LR or .22 Magnum cartridge, which means the pistol is primarily used for plinking as well as Cowboy action shooting competitions. Also, this single action revolver is a perfect choice for anyone who wants to look like a modern day cowboy.

SHOULD I GET THE HERITAGE ROUGH RIDER 22?

IS HERITAGE ROUGH RIDER RELIABLE?

The short answer is yes. Thanks to being a single action revolver, there are very few things that can go wrong with it. Also the lack of a magazine and having a cylinder instead, there is very little risk of malfunctions with regards to that. The most likely source of malfunction in the case of the Heritage Rough Rider is unreliable ammunition. But that can be mitigated by buying higher quality ammo. The Heritage Rough Rider 22 was never designed for concealed carry purposes.
