The company known all over the world as the Ruger, with the official name of The Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. is the leading producer of firearms in the whole United States. The Sturm, Ruger designs, produces and markets a full line of various models of pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns, mainly for sporting purposes, however there is also several models available for the law enforcement and military use.

The Ruger P90 is a semi-automatic pistol of typical Ruger design. The Ruger P90 pistol features hard-coated, stainless barrel, aircraft-quality aluminum frames, steel slides, polycarbonate grip panels and also optional Hogue rubber wraparound grips. The Ruger P90 is a scaled-up version of the previous model, chambered with .45 caliber also with an aluminum frame. The Ruger P90 is considered to have above average accuracy for its price. The Ruger P90 came in multiple configurations including the P90 DC, a decocker only version with no external safety. In 2010 the model P90 was discontinued. The special edition of the P90 was produced for the Davidson Firearms by the Ruger. Ruger introduced the P90 45 in April 1991 and its commercial shipments began in early May. It was the Ruger’s first .45-caliber semi-auto pistol with a seven round magazine and also decocker-lever design.
