About Browning GPDA
John Browning, founder of the Browning Arms Company, who was the inventor of the semi-automatic rifle, over-and-under shotgun and semi-automatic shotgun established a company that has left its mark on the history of gun-producing with a wide range of gun models. The Browning company employs approximately 210 people at its Utah headquarters, including also research and some light manufacturing operations. Since the year 1897, when the first Browning’s gun was successfully made, millions of pistols, rifles and shotguns for military use, hunting or sports shooting have been designed and manufactured by the Browning company.
The Browning GPDA is a double-action firearm manufactured by Browning in the United States. It has a barrel length of 4.63 in and an overall length of 7.75”. The Browning GPDA is chambered in 9mm and can hold 13 rounds. The Browning GDPA is very well engineered. It has a double action trigger. The Browning has optimized it with a double action trigger and in addition to the functional slide stop lever a catch also with decocking function which can be operated from either side. The design of the model GPDA was based another model. Construction details of the GPDA and also its design in general has a lot in common with another model.. John Browning’s colleague Dieudonné Saive in 1926 completed the gun after Browning's death. He was even responsible for the innovative development of a two-row magazine.
