About Browning BDA
John Browning, founder of the Browning Arms Company, who was the inventor of the semi-automatic rifle, over-and-under shotgun and semi-automatic shotgun established a company that has left its mark on the history of gun-producing with a wide range of gun models. The Browning company employs approximately 210 people at its Utah headquarters, including also research and some light manufacturing operations. Since the year 1897, when the first Browning’s gun was successfully made, millions of pistols, rifles and shotguns for military use, hunting or sports shooting have been designed and manufactured by the Browning company.
The Browning BDA is a semi-automatic short recoil operated locked breech firearm. It has a vertically tilting delayed camming action. The handgun features a double-action trigger which cocks and then releases the hammer. The recoil of the slide recocks the hammer, and all consecutive shots are fired from the single-action mode. The Browning BDA has a barrel length of 3.78 inches and can be chambered in 7.65 or .380 ACP. The model BDA 380 was introduced to the market in 1980 as a lightweight compact pistol for civilian and police use. The manufacture of the BDA was ceased in 1997. The model was adopted by Belgian police. It’s a semi automatic, blowback operated, double action pistol. The pistol has steel slide and aluminium alloy frame. Its ambidextrous slide mounted safety switch disconnects the hammer from the trigger. The BDA model featured low profile fixed sights. Finish of the model was available in either polished steel or blued finish, including wooden grip panels. This model has a good reputation as reliable and comfortable to fire. The overall design layout of its all versions is based on the model Browning Hi-Power, however the pistol features significant ergonomic changes that were designed in order to update the model to modern military requirements.

What Makes a Great Drop Leg Browning BDA Holster
A perfect BDA Drop Leg holster holds your firearm without the need of a retention strap. The natural retention of each material takes care of it and you can even hold the scabbard upside down without the firearm falling of. Or you can rely on the retention strap which can have several levels of retention. Another treat of a great BDA Drop Leg gunholster are smooth edges on the outside. This way the holster stays protected from abrasions, scratches or any other intrusive surfaces that it may stumble upon. A perfect finish of a BDA holster is another feature. A finished holster keeps dust, moisture and water away. Taking care of your holster is a important thing and there are many options including break-in or adjustment.
