About Astra A100
Astra is the brand name of Esperanza y Unceta (later on Unceta&Co) firm, Spanish gun manufacturer, established in the Eibar in 1908. Nowadays, the company is called Astra-Unceta S.A.Astra was producing pistol models only from the 20s for nearly 40 years. Successful models were the Model 300, the Model 900 and Model 902 that were adopted by several armies including European countries and Chinese.
The Astra 100 is semi-automatic, single-action/double-action pistol that was introduced by Spanish manufacturer Astra-Unceta y Cia SA in 1990. This model is known also as the “Panther” and was distributed to the U.S market by the EAA (European American Armory). The A-100 was designed on the base of the earlier A-80 and A-90 models, where the model A-80 model was originally designed after the SIG P220 pistol.
The pistol is a recoil-operated, containing an improved Browning-style locking system with locking lugs on the top of the barrel. It contains several safety features including a firing pin block, hammer safety and also a manual de-cocking lever. The pistol contains a rounded hammer provided with a lanyard hole, whereas the SIG has a more conventional spur hammer. Although, magazines of both pistol models are not interchangeable, many holsters fit satisfactorily both of them.

What Makes a Great Magazine Astra A100 Holster
A perfect Astra A 100 Magazine holster holds your firearm without the need of a retention strap. The natural retention of each material takes care of it and you can even hold the scabbard upside down without the firearm falling of. Or you can rely on the retention strap which can have several levels of retention. Another treat of a great Astra A 100 Magazine gunholster are smooth edges on the outside. This way the holster stays protected from abrasions, scratches or any other intrusive surfaces that it may stumble upon. A perfect finish of a Astra A 100 holster is another feature. A finished holster keeps dust, moisture and water away. Taking care of your holster is a important thing and there are many options including break-in or adjustment.
